HUBUNGAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DAN KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL
DENGAN MANAJEMEN KONFLIK SISWA

Abstract:
Conflict management is one of the efforts in handling
the problems or conflicts that occur both on themselves and on others. Conflict
management consists of two aspects, the first of constructive conflict
management and the second destructive conflict management. There are five types
of conflict management styles, namely: to accommodate (accomodating) strategy
is a lose-win, competition (competing) is a strategy of win-lose, compromise
(compromising) is a strategy medium, avoidance (avoiding) strategy is a lose-lose,
and collaboration ( collaborating) is a win-win strategy. Conflict management
can be influenced by emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication.
The purpose of this study is to describe and determine the relationship of
emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication with manajamen conflict.
This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive correlational method.
The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Muhammadiyah 1
Pekanbaru many as 202 students, with a sample of 134 students, sampling
techniques using simple random sampling. The instrument used is a Likert scale
model. The results validity test of
instruments emotional intelligence is 0.519, interpersonal communication is
0.535, and conflict management is 0.558. The results Instrument
reliability test of emotional intelligence is 0.877, interpersonal
communication is 0.885, and manajamen conflict is 0.823. Data were analyzed
using multiple regression. This
discover research show: the description of emotional intelligence,
interpersonal communication and conflict management at the high category.
Results of testing the hypothesis there was a significant relationship between
emotional intelligence and conflict management students, there was a
significant relationship between interpersonal communication to conflict
management students, and there
was together a relationship between emotional intelligence and
interpersonal communication with student conflict management.
