KONTRIBUSI SUPERVISI BK DAN PENGEMBANGAN PROFESI
TERHADAP KINERJA GURU BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING

Abstract: Basically, Guidance and Counseling teachers are required to perform well
either in teaching hours or not each education unit. Moreover, the performance
of BK teachers is also influenced by external and internal factors. Some of
them are BK supervision and professional development. Therefore, this research
was conducted in order to describe (1) BK supervision, (2) the professional
development of BK teachers, (3) BK teacher’s performance, (4) the contribution
of BK supervision to BK teacher’s performance, (5) the contribution of
professional development to BK teacher’s performance, (6) the contribution of
BK supervision and professional development to BK teacher’s performance. This was a descriptive research with quantitative approach which used
multiple correlation analysis. The population of the research was BK teacher
from SMPN, SMAN,SMKN in Padang Panjang city and Tanah Datar Regency with 115
samples, which were chosen by using purposive sampling teachnique. The
instrument used was Likert scale model. The result of the research revealed: (1) the performance of BK teacher’s
was 82.18% which was categorized as good, (2) level of achievement of BK
supervision was 85.13% which was categorized as very good, (3) the level of
professional development of BK teacher’s was 82.17% which was categorized as
high level; (4) there was a contribution of BK supervision to BK teacher’s
performance for 19.1%; (5) there was a contribution of professional development
of BK teacher’s to their performance for 27.3%, and (6) there was a
contribution of BK supervision and professional development to the teacher’s
performance for 36.5%.
